This is the most famous of Louisiana's River Road plantations, and rightly so. The grounds are sprawling and beautiful, and so is the main house. Staff is friendly as well.
Me and my wife went on the plantation tour which was very informative and interesting. We walked around and read the information around the plantation. There is plenty here to do. We didn’t get to try the restaurant but the staff was very nice.
Great stay. We went for 2 nights and liked it so much that we want to go again. The staff was friendly. The food was great. Accommodations were wonderful.
Beautiful building and surrounding property. Used my AAA card for a discount. Mint Juleps, lemonade served outside the home, as well as at the cafe and restaurant. Yummy seafood au gratin. Grilled shrimp on salad was a tad salty. Corn bread is good and buttermilk pie is worth the calories!
Don't pay a tour company! Drive yourself out there or get a cab/Uber, and save yourself the extra $40 the tour companies want to charge you to travel on a bumpy hot bus, with a crude driver. Plantation was nice, but again, we were rushed on time because of said tour, so we didn't get to see everything.
