Definitely need to visit. Absolutely beautiful. Very well kept property. So full of history. Felt like stepping through to another time. Hard to wrap your mind around the beauty mixed with a disturbing reality of the past. The restaurant on grounds was quaint and the food was delicious. When in Louisiana, if you have the time, worth the drive.

Absolutely magical. Sounds cliche, but walking under these 200 year old trees is something else. We got married here in May, 2015. The most beautiful wedding any of our guests have been to. Food was amazing, staff that worked our wedding was awesome! I had them eat and dance with us, and they were so nice.

We visited and stayed overnight in cabin number three which is quaint and well maintained. Had breakfast in the restaurant which was fine. Purchased praline cream liquor which is delicious on vanilla ice cream. Walked the beautiful plantation grounds and took house tour. All of it interesting.

Beautiful grounds and scenery! Very knowledgeable tour guide in the big house. We stayed overnight in a cottage and had a cozy night in. Everything closes at 5 or before. The front gate to walk across the street to see the river was locked well before 5. I think might be a little nicer if eventually the restaurant stays open for dinner.

Oak Alley is exactly what you picture in your mind when you think of a southern plantation. It was just the most beautiful place you can imagine, with the row of majestic live oak trees leading from the river to the house. The grounds and the house are so well preserved and so worth the visit. The tour guides gave great information on the history of the place, lots of which was surprising. Just a great place to visit if you are in the area. Of all the many plantations and historic homes I have visited this is the most beautiful in the USA.

Now Penny! She is the onsite wedding planner. I literally lost $4500 on my wedding planner and fired her, and had Penny do EVERYTHING! She is priceless!! Thoroughness, expertise, execution, everything! She is amazing. Not only as a person, but as a professional. Glad you got some help Penny! We will be back every year to stay in the same cottage. Just stayed for our 2 year and it was rad!
